17th Annual Nautical Coast Cleanup and Lake St. Clair Celebration

There will be a Lake St. Clair Celebration lunch from 12-2 at Jefferson Yacht Club.
We will be accepting Schools of Choice applications for the 2012-2013 school year for Macomb County residents - (we do not accept Wayne County residents). We have unlimited openings for grades Kindergarten through 9th grade. There are no openings for 10th, 11th and 12th grade.
Applications must be submitted with ALL required documentation in order to be accepted. Please look at the section called "Procedures" in the packet.
Applications can't be turned in without Confirmation of Prior Discipline records for the last two school years. This year's report must be dated through the end of this school year (June, 2012).
Applications, therefore, won't be accepted until June, 2012 (except for kindergarten).
Enrollment is currently being accepted at the South Lake Administration Building at 23101 Stadium Blvd., St. Clair Shores. Your child needs to be 3 by Sept. 1, 2012. For registration you will need to bring your child's original birth certificate, immunization records, a $50.00 non-refundable deposit and your identification.
Classes are held at Avalon Elementary School, 20000 Avalon, St. Clair Shores. Morning sessions run from 8:00-11:00 a.m. and afternoon sessions run from 12:00-3:00 p.m. The cost for two half-day sessions is currently $945 for the school year. ***Prices are subject to change for the 2012-2013 school year.

Online payments to students' school meal accounts are now being accepted using credit cards at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. The new site allows you to do everything you could on the old site and more. Parents who have previously registered on lunchdeposit.com will use the same user ID and password. Instructions are available on the new site.
There is a $2.00 transaction fee for depositing money online.
We are pleased to present you with the Annual Eduation Report (AER) which provides key information on the 2009-2010 educational progress for the South Lake Schools District. The AER addresses the complex reporting information required by federal law and some requirements of state laws; however, our staff is available to help you understand this information. Please contact Pamela Balint or your school's principal for help if you need assistance.
Latchkey registration is on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, from 11:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the latchkey room of your elementary school. The forms are attached (in pdf format) so that you can have them filled out when you arrive. A $50.00 DEPOSIT IS BEING TAKEN TO BE USED AGAINST THE LAST WEEKS OF SCHOOL OR THE LAST WEEKS THAT YOUR CHILD(REN) ATTEND LATCHKEY. There is also a $10.00 (non-refundable) registration per child.
