Why Get Involved?
Research reveals many benefits when parents are involved in their child's education, including:
- Higher grades and test scores;
- Better attitudes and behavior;
- Better school attendance;
- More homework completed;
- Less chance of placement in special education;
- Greater likelihood of graduating from high school; and
- Better chance of enrolling in postsecondary education.
How YOU Can Help with the ACT Test
- The ACT test is 5 hours. So why is your child studying for 30 minutes? Fatigue is a factor! Make sure your child is ready
- Make sure your child eats well! We know...easier than it sounds. But, the ACT test is a long and strenuous test. Your child will need energy to make it through the test.
- Attend open houses and parent-teacher conferences.
- Communicate with your child's teachers and counselor.
- Get involved with your school! Join the Dads and Moms Club, help in the concession stand!
